This work aimed to study the behavior of NDT by LP applied to quality control in component parts of motorcycles, welded new and used. The study was developed in four companies of the automotive two-wheeler segment in Latin America. After a literature review, comparative tests were performed on new and used parts, identifying factors that influence the results. It was concluded that used parts may present surface changes and retention of contaminants, requiring greater care in the cleaning and removal of the penetrant liquid.
