Organizations with high levels of waste lose efficiency by focusing on corrections instead of innovation. This study applies Lean Manufacturing methodology to a commercial air conditioning manufacturer, using a fuzzy logic-based model to assess Lean maturity levels. The model incorporates four implemented Lean tools – 5S, VSM (value stream map), TPM (total productive maintenance), and SMED (single minute exchange of die) – to determine Lean Manufacturing levels through computational simulation.
