Through health promotion, awareness and environmental education projects, their understanding of the environment in which they operate is put into practice, considering that environmental education contributes to the theoretical-methodological solidification in the practice of all that has been addressed about educational actions in environmental health and nursing. After the experiences and the course of the discipline, questionnaires were applied to assess their level of awareness and learning. With the conduction of the research, the responsibility of the nursing professional in relation to the environment was evidenced, and the students and future professionals showed to have knowledge to improve their own and society's awareness.
