The Madeira River, an essential waterway in the Amazon basin, plays a strategic role in the transport of petroleum derivatives by tank barge (BT). The study analyzes the environmental impacts of this activity on the Manaus-Porto Velho stretch, considering factors such as seasonal variations and the need for adequate infrastructure.
