The adopted model was based on computational simulation using fuzzy logic. Three of the seven major production wastes were analyzed: overproduction, inventory in process, and transportation. The studied company presented high levels of overproduction, process inventories, and a high internal transport index. Results indicated that the company is not Lean. The proposed model can be adjusted for other organizations, allowing new input and output variables.
