The objective of this work is to propose a new methodology to correct the grounding resistances of the LT Oriximiná/Silves CD 550kV electric power transmission line in the Amazon, aiming to reduce the occurrences of shutdowns caused by disruptive return discharges (backflashover) and mitigate the damages to the electrical system.
