This study aimed to understand the importance of integrating environmental education through interdisciplinary teaching practices in high schools in the municipality of Itacoatiara-AM. The research was conducted in three public schools, with questionnaires administered to students and teachers. The results indicated that environmental education is addressed in an isolated manner, rather than interdisciplinary, and that there is a lack of teacher training in this area.
