Among these is the aircraft noise, which is generated by the engine and the aerodynamics of aircraft, especially during approach, landing, and takeoff procedures. The propagation distance of that environmental impact can be mapped by noise curves, serving for the preparation of a Noise Zoning Plan – NZP. This is a tool to aid the management of the use and occupation of land in the vicinity of airports. With the publication of RBAC No. 161, the current NZP from Manaus International Airport/ Eduardo Gomes – SBEG became obsolete. Based on data from operating the airport movement, noise curves of 85, 80, 75, 70, 65 dB (A) were generated by the INM software. While the two curves of noise in force, about to 75 and 65 dB (A), cover an area of 1249.49 hectares, with a population estimated of 20,959.58 inhabitants, and one school; the five noise curves generated in the INM cover an area and population 43.58% and 193%, respectively, higher, with four more schools. A city ordinance does not mention all the districts covered by the noise curves in force, leaving the most affected area without proper treatment.
