This dissertation presents an assessment of the implementation of a predictive maintenance system of electrical machines (SIMME) on Balbina hydroelectric power plant in Amazonas, Brazil. The system was elaborated to predict defects, failures or bad operational states of machines of the hydroelectric plant and suggest maintenance intervention and operational emergency actions.
