This dissertation aims to diagnose patient access to the Medical Expertise sector (SEMSA) in the queue for elective orthopedic surgeries in Santarém. Profiles of patients (age, sex, municipality of origin, type of surgery performed) who sought orthopedic surgical care through SUS between 2015 and 2017 were analyzed, along with statistical analyses of the samples.
