This study aims to establish a simple and accessible methodology for companies of different sizes to assess the maturity level of Industry 4.0 tools to prepare the foundations for future implementations in the industrial metaverse. A bibliographic review was conducted to identify the main enabling tools of Industry 4.0 and the attributes of the metaverse according to Weinberg and Gross (2023). Based on this information, a correlation table was developed to guide companies in preparing for the development of metaverse applications. The methodology was applied to a company in Manaus, allowing the assessment of the maturity level of Industry 4.0 tools and identifying critical points for supporting future metaverse initiatives.
