ALVES, Cláudio Nahum2025-03-242017https://rigalileo.itegam.org.br/handle/123456789/839The environmental issue presents itself as one of the great challenges of all humanity, also for Higher Education Institutions. The objective of this study is to verify how the environment, sustainable development and ecological ethics of care are being studied in the Lutheran University Center of Manaus, based on the results, adopt institutional measures to maintain or modify current teaching strategies and practices on these subjects. A survey was carried out with 244 academics from the Institute's 11 undergraduate courses, registered in 2016. It was verified that more than 80% answered that subjects such as environment and sustainable development are extremely important for humanity and all professionals, regardless of their area of expertise, should have ethical posture and attitudes towards the environment. However, only 50% see the extreme importance of these topics being worked on in all courses of the Institution. When asked if the research subjects receive due attention in the training of CEULM / ULBRA professionals, only 23.7% gave maximum marks, that is, the absolute majority understands that the Institution does not give due attention to these subjects. Thus, the research reveals that the Institution needs to work more and better on these subjects, both in the Pedagogical Projects of the Courses (PPCs) and in the subjects of the Basic Cycle of General Education, as well as, it needs to offer more experiences in this area through projects, as happened with the Ecological House.Meio AmbienteÉtica Ecológica do CuidadoDesenvolvimento SustentávelEducação AmbientalSustentabilidadeMeio Ambiente, Desenvolvimento Sustentável, Ética Ecológica do Cuidado e a Experiência do Centro Universitário Luterano de Manauspdf.Ciências Ambientais
