However, Manaus joined this model late due to its isolation from the national electricity system. The research investigates the differences between regulated and free markets, analyzing new opportunities and developing a structured process for acquiring electricity in the new competitive scenario. The methodology includes multicriteria modeling, quality and delivery (QD) analysis, financial risk assessment, benchmarking, and decision matrix.
