Análise Multivariada da Oferta Nacional de Gás Natural do Brasil: Uma Abordagem Econométrica

The objective of this work was to address the use of Natural Gas (NG) as an energy source, and its correspondence with the economy, establishing a prediction model of the national natural gas supply based on variables of an economic nature. For this, we selected the independent variables of an economic nature with the variable object of this study. The period considered for the analysis was from 2010 to 2015. A normality test was performed, the static significance tests, ANOVA, independence test of the variables with 95% confidence levels for p-value of the test were performed. Hypotheses for the model variables. Seeking to show the rejection or acceptance of the hypotheses for the correlation between the economic variables or related to the national GN level offer. The hypothesis test carried out accepted the hypothesis of the influence of the variable GDP on the National Natural Gas Supply, for the period considered in the multivariate analysis. This study found that Natural Gas presents itself as a substitute for the common diesel oil, due to its inverse cross-elasticity. It was also evidenced that the Natural Gas is a complementary good in relation to Natural Gas due to its positive cross-elasticity in relation to the latter.
