Análise dos Níveis de Ruído Produzidos na Central de Material e Esterilização do Hospital Regional do Baixo Amazonas
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2019) GONÇALVES, Francydaiane Silva; MAGNO, Rui Nelson Otoni
This study aimed to analyze the factors related to noise that may cause harm to the team of health professionals working at the Material and Sterilization Center of the Baixo Amazonas Regional Hospital, in Santarém, Pará, Brazil. This is a transversal, descriptive, exploratory, field study, with a quantitative approach, carried out in an establishment of high complexity. The data were collected in the months of June and July of 2018. The measurements were performed in the morning and afternoon, based on a time of greater activity and another with low activity in the CME rooms. In view of the results, high NPS were found at the site, much higher than legally allowed. It was also observed that the machines that produce the most noise are: the autoclave in use, the ultrasonic washer of materials and the compressed air pump. It is concluded that the fast pace of work, physical and mental requirements, information flow, poorly ventilated area, autoclave heat, intermittent noises and the presence of chemical, biological, ergonomic, physical and accident risks are constant inside the material center and sterilization. All these factors are sufficient to cause physiological and psychological changes in the professionals who work there.
