AVALIAÇÃO DA INFLUÊNCIA DE FATORES ESTRUTURAIS E SOCIOAMBIENTAIS ENTRE UMA ORLA DE RIO E UM PARQUE URBANO NA CIDADE DE MANAUS
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2018) MAGALHÃES, Fernando Barros; LIMA, Marcelo de Oliveira
The parks and riverside areas of the city of Manaus possess green areas that provide the population with quality of life. Their infrastructure, when appropriate, attracts the population, leading to the reduction of sedentary lifestyles and mitigating the stress of urban daily life, promoting benefits such as environmental, social, and physical comfort aimed at the health of the population. The research aims to evaluate the influence of structural and socio-environmental factors between a Park and a riverside area in the city of Manaus. Only Mindu Park, located in the south-central zone, and the Ponta Negra riverside area, located in the western zone, were considered. Data were obtained from a literature review and 100 questionnaires were applied for each area. It is concluded that the highest frequency of visitors to the Park and riverside area is female, and the majority of the population visits these spaces 1 to 2 days a week. The population associates physical activity with leisure and contact with the environment, contributing to stress reduction. The accessibility structure, physical activity equipment, walking trails, and paths are limited in both the Park and the riverside area. The low-income population has difficulty accessing these spaces due to the lack of bus lines.
