    Saúde e Meio Ambiente: Uma Abordagem Acerca do Saneamento Básico e Seu Impacto na Saúde Pública do Município de Manaus/AM

    The present study focuses on the relationship between health and the environment, addressing the basic sanitation situation in the city of Manaus, verifying the main variables and determinants that influence the health-disease process, such as water supply, sanitation facilities, and garbage collection. The study correlates the occurrence of diseases related to inadequate basic sanitation and its impact on public health, analyzing the incidence of diseases and health issues arising from this inadequacy. The research is bibliographic and documentary, using qualitative and quantitative methods, with electronic data collection from official databases such as DATASUS, IBGE, and SNIS. The objective is to verify the urban public health situation in Manaus, from the perspective of environmental sanitation conditions, analyzing public health expenditures, and proposing solutions to the main problems detected.
