Patologias em Instalações Hidro-Sanitárias de Edifícios Residenciais na Zona Centro-Sul de Manaus (AM): Diagnóstico e Terapia
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2016) VIEIRA, Paulo Cézar Corrêa; SOUZA, José Antônio da Silva
The building installations of cold water, hot water, sewage, and rainwater form an essential system directly interacting with users, where malfunction can negatively impact their physical and psychological well-being. This study aimed to identify and diagnose hydro-sanitary pathological manifestations in vertical residential buildings and propose therapeutic solutions. Interviews were conducted with maintenance managers of nine buildings in the central-south zone of Manaus (AM), followed by technical visits. The findings highlighted common pathologies such as bad odors, water shortages, clogged pipes, noise, and foam return. The study emphasized the impact of design, materials used, execution, and maintenance, underlining the importance of adhering to regulatory recommendations to prevent failures.
