Abstract
Proper management of factory floor resources is essential for financial health and company competitiveness. Organizations with high levels of waste lose efficiency by focusing on corrections instead of innovation. This study applies Lean Manufacturing methodology to a commercial air conditioning manufacturer, using a fuzzy logic-based model to assess Lean maturity levels. The model incorporates four implemented Lean tools – 5S, VSM (value stream map), TPM (total productive maintenance), and SMED (single minute exchange of die) – to determine Lean Manufacturing levels through computational simulation. The results show that the fuzzy methodology effectively validates Lean maturity and guides improvements in Lean transformation management.
