Abstract

The study addresses the relationship between pandemics and disturbances in the natural environment, with an emphasis on zoonoses. The research analyzes historical and recent pandemics, such as Covid-19, highlighting how human invasion into natural ecosystems and habitat destruction can lead to the emergence of diseases transmitted from animals to humans. The work uses a literature review of scientific articles published in high-reliability journals, aiming to understand the phenomenon of pandemics and propose solutions to prevent them. It concludes that preserving the natural environment and raising awareness about the importance of biodiversity are essential to avoid future pandemics.
