Item Análise da gestão de resíduos sólidos no trecho entre o terminal portuário da Manaus moderna e instalação portuária de pequeno porte-ip4 município Careiro da várzea/AM(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2023-11-21) CUNHA, Alinda Freitas; SILVA, Simone da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7260488247107062Port activities are essential for the development of the globalized economy, however, this sector can cause significant environmental impacts, such as those related to solid waste from vessels. It has been verified that port terminals increasingly constitute a source of significant waste. As such, it is of fundamental importance to find a sustainable solution for the adequate management of waste both on vessels and in ports, as these, with the appropriate waste management facilities and equipment, can contribute to the reduction of waste discharges from vessels. for rivers, thus playing a vital role in protecting the environment. It is crucial to develop a strategy, within the legal framework, that guarantees operational measures and financial incentives, which enable the successful economic and environmental implementation of port waste management plans, since it is possible to see that currently, many ports still do not meet established standards. In view of the above, the objective of this study is to investigate the solid waste management processes at the port of Manaus Moderna and Small Installations IP4 Careiro da Várzea, as well as to propose an infographic on good practices for the collection, segregation and disposal of this waste. The research is based on the following methodological tools: bibliographical survey in various sources such as activity reports, internal port documents, publications from public bodies, scientific articles, waste manifests, among others; the identification and analysis of documentation, content and applicable legislation and; research with teaching and research institutions specializing in the topic.Item Análise do gerenciamento de resíduos da construção civil na cidade de Manaus, sob a perspectiva da sustentabilidade(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2023-06-03) PINTO, Cynthia de Faria; SILVA, Simone da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7260488247107062The generation of waste from the civil construction industry, a reflection of population growth, changes in habits and intense consumption, has been a matter of great concern for the world, since natural resources are finite and nature cannot absorb production. exorbitant amount of waste generated by society. In the city of Manaus, environmental problems, mainly those related to civil construction, are not different from the rest of Brazil. The rubber period at the end of the 19th century and the implementation of the Free Trade Zone in the 1960s were responsible for the growing mass population migration to the capital, thus boosting the growth of the Civil Construction Industry, as well as the generation of its waste. Therefore, the objective of this work is to demonstrate the current scenario of management of civil construction waste in the City of Manaus, from the perspective of sustainability, from data collected in the Secretariats and bodies of public administration, through bibliographies, as well as in the construction sites, verifying the current situation of the final destination of the (RCC), and what are the sustainability practices adopted, aiming at the elaboration of a booklet with the indication of the weaknesses found in the management of the RCC and suggestions of improvement actions, aiming at minimization of impacts on the environment, in order to support decision-making by the public administration and its managers regarding compliance with CONAMA Resolution No. 307 and Law 12,305/2010 (National Solid Waste PolicyPNRS).Item Análise do inventário de emissões de gases do efeito estufa em uma indústria de beneficiamento de papel fotográfico na cidade de Manaus(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2022-01-25) MAGALHÃES, Edfran da Cruz; SILVA, Simone da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7260488247107062In the Manaus Industrial Complex (PIM), the photographic paper processing industry, classified as a Chemical Industry, has low representation. This photographic industry presents environmental impacts in its production, maintenance and administrative support processes, including operations that only benefit already emulsified photographic papers, transforming them into sizes and formats suitable for printing laboratories. This dissertation investigates Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions in scope 1 (direct emissions) and scope 2 (indirect emissions), using the Brazilian GHG Protocol Program (PBGHGP) protocol. This protocol made it possible to inventory data and estimate total GHG emissions in a PIM photo paper processing industry, considering the operations under its operational control. The combination of methodological strategies aimed to provide a comprehensive analysis of the environmental issue addressed. The results identified that the main source of GHG emissions comes from the refrigeration system, specifically through the consumption of R410A refrigerant gas. It was found that the control and management of these emissions are viable, as the industry has an environmental management system in place, capable of mitigating the environmental impact caused by GHG emissions, thus fulfilling its social role in a responsible manner.Item Análise do inventário de emissões de gases do efeito estufa em uma indústria de beneficiamento de papel fotográfico na cidade de Manaus(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2022-01-25) MAGALHÃES, Edfran da Cruz; SILVA, Simone daIn Industrial Pole of Manaus (PIM), the photographic paper processing industry is unrepresentative and is classified as a Chemical Industry. This type of photographic industry has environmental aspects in its production processes, maintenance and administrative support, including those processes that only benefit the photographic papers already emulsified, transforming them into sizes and formats necessary for later use in photo printing laboratories. From this perspective, the problem investigated in this dissertation was limited to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in scope 1 (direct emissions) and 2 (indirect emissions), using the Protocol of the Brazilian GHG Protocol (PBGHGP), thus enabling the inventory of data and the estimation of total GHG emissions in a PIM industry of finishing photographic paper and in operations to which this industry has operational control. The combination of these methodological strategies was designed in order to provide a more complete discussion of the theme addressed in this research As a result of the analysis it was found that the main source of GHG is derived from the refrigeration system in the consumption of R410A refrigerant gas and that the control and/or management of these gases are possible to be adopted, because the industry has an implemented environmental management system capable of managing this environmental aspect and reducing the environmental impact of GHG emissions, responsibly fulfilling its social role.Item Desenvolvimento Sustentável: um estudo sobre cadeias produtivas no Distrito Agropecuário da SUFRAMA–DAS em Rio Preto da Eva – AM(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2023) SANTOS, Kátia Cristina de Menezes; SILVA, Simone daEnvironmental education is currently being valued in many social segments when it comes to the conservation and preservation of natural resources because sustainability is strengthened when the levels of consumption and transformation of inputs involving four interdependent pillars are considered, which are the pillars: social, economic, environmental, and institutional. This excessive amount of waste has been worrisome because, if not properly collected and disposed of, it causes serious consequences to health and the environment. Thus, the reluctance of the non-management of solid waste is numerous and includes environmental, economic, social, and health aspects. In this scenario, it is clear that waste cannot be completely eliminated; however, it is possible to decrease it by reducing the amount of waste and recycling as much as possible. It is true that the contemporary world is characterized by an almost constant state of crisis, however, to recycle or reuse has the sense to restrain what is used, to limit waste and residues, to protect the environment, to conserve and defend the ecosystem. For this, there is a need to moderate this expressed consumption, not only to use what is necessary, but also to reuse what is possible. The optics of the concept of the "3R's" reduce, reuse, and recycle aims to contain the ecosystemic shock with the applicability of the reduction and awareness about the amount of products that are consumed, thus minimizing the waste of materials and waste generation. In this reality, the reuse of products and objects avoids exacerbated consumption and the extraction of raw materials. The recycling of solid residues reuses these inputs and increases their useful life. In this sense, it is essential to emphasize education, as an agent of change, for the development of people into informed and active citizens. In view of the above, the objective of this work was to observe the perception of children in the first year of elementary school about the environment in order to raise awareness in a critical and reflective way about how we relate to each other and how we can improve our environment through the reduction and reuse of waste. The concept of the three Rs in this case study was used, therefore, to clarify and promote reflection about excessive shopping, the reuse of what would go to waste such as cans, cardboard, bottles among others, and finally, to offer the possibility of converting items no longer used into other creations. This study contributed to the awareness and preservation of the environment and its didactic-pedagogical sequence promoted progressions in the visuomotor, motor, motor, playful, affective, and critical-reflexive aspects to promote the acquisition and strengthening of skills and abilities.Item Educação Ambiental: Os 3R’s (Três Erres) no Primeiro Ano do Ensino Fundamental: Atividades de Palestra e Musicalização para Conscientização Ambiental(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2022) SILVA, Mey Ling Oliveira da; SILVA, Simone daThis manual proposes the application of educational activities aimed at environmental awareness, focusing on the 3R's concepts (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), directed at first-year elementary school students. The activities include lectures and musicalization, using didactic resources such as musical parodies and pedagogical games to facilitate the understanding and retention of sustainability principles among children. The interdisciplinary approach seeks to integrate environmental education into school routines, promoting the development of ecological attitudes from an early age.Item Educação e sustentabilidade: propor a inserção de práticas sustentáveis no PPC do curso técnico Integrado em edificações do Instituto Federal do Amazonas - IFAM no município de Manaus(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2023-06-20) SILVA, Elcilene Costa da; SILVA, Simone da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7260488247107062Humanity is increasingly establishing a predatory relationship with nature due to the consumerist and capitalist model of production and, due to this lifestyle, humanity is rapidly approaching an environmental disaster scenario. Teaching and learning how to take care of the world, how to take care of the collective, how to reduce, recycle and reuse should be a topic worked on in schools in a relevant and effective way, raising awareness not only among students, but also among the teaching staff of educational institutions, professionals working in them, the community, society and the world. Only through education can we build behaviors and habits consistent with sustainability and only through curriculum restructuring, it can be worked on in an integrated way with knowledge and school experiences. Considering that the disciplines of the Pedagogical Project of the Course (PPC) of the Integrated Technical Course in Buildings do not include the theme of sustainability, this work aims to identify and propose the inclusion of the teaching of sustainability concepts and sustainable development in the syllabi of technical courses in the integrated mode in building construction from the Federal Institute of Amazonas - IFAM. In conclusion, it is understood that there is a shortage of disciplines focused on teaching sustainability, especially related to the triple sustainability of the environment, economy and social. Therefore, it is suggested to adopt disciplines that highlight the importance of the theme for future professionals.Item Environmental impact of pollutants and the potential contribution to phytoremediation(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2024) SILVA, Simone da; LEITE, Jandecy CabralThis chapter revisited an experiment that evaluated elicitors for the germination of Vigna unguiculata (Cowpea Beans): the plant extract of Euphorbia tirucalli, the ultra-diluted and dynamized solution of Sulfur 5CH, and the two in combination. In 2017, significant seed engorgement and ammonia-like odor exudation suggested involvement of the sodium/potassium pump, thiol group detoxifying enzymes, and nitrogenous oxidative stress pathways. Given recent literature linking thiol groups to mercury phytoremediation, the study discusses E. tirucalli as a potential hyperaccumulator, considering mechanisms such as phytoextraction and phytovolatilization of pollutants.Item Insecticidal and juvenilizing activity tests of Euphorbia tirucalli Latex on Aedes aegypti Larvae. Micropropagation and new potential for biological activity(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2024) SILVA, Simone da; LEITE, Jandecy CabralEuphorbia tirucalli is a succulent species used for various applications, including vector control of mosquitoes in Africa and Asia. This study analyzed the insecticidal and juvenilizing effects of the aqueous fraction of latex obtained from explants micropropagated with 6-Benzylaminopurin (6-BA) and Norbixin, under different light fluences. Latex was extracted by ultrasonic methods and tested on Aedes aegypti larvae development. No insecticidal or juvenilizing activity was observed. New experiments will be conducted with variations in red light exposure time and higher concentrations of extracts, due to the high prevalence of dengue in Rio de Janeiro.Item Investigation of the antifungal action of natural products on seeds of Euterpe oleraceae: Bioproduct Potential(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2024) SILVA, Simone da; LEITE, Jandecy CabralAçaí seeds (Euterpe oleraceae) are used in handicrafts by urban indigenous Sateré-Mawé in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. However, fungal contamination compromises their conservation, leading to losses of approximately 47% of the purchased seeds. This study tested the antifungal activity of aqueous extracts from Bixa orellana (Annatto), Punica granatum (Pomegranate), Tagetes erecta (Marigold), and Euphorbia tirucalli (Firestick) on açaí seeds. Only E. tirucalli showed significant antifungal action (21.75%) at the tested concentration, indicating potential for seed preservation. Based on these findings, further trials will be conducted within the One Health perspective.Item Metodologia para Análise e Gerenciamento de Riscos de Estoque em Mercados de Pequeno Porte(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2022-04-04) LEANDRO, Aurélio Paulo; SILVA, Simone da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7260488247107062Visual Basic for Application (VBA) programming, when used in an Excel programming environment, is an important tool in determining inventory classification risks, as well as an excellent option in view of the current situation of scarcity of classification optimization assessment. inventory risks. The present work deals with the management in Protestant Christian religious institutions, which are also producers of solid waste from them and, therefore, deserve to be studied scientifically, in order to answer the following guiding question: Solid waste management in Protestant Christian institutions in the city of Manaus asserts itself as an effective instrument for the concept of sustainability? The main objective of this work is to evaluate how Protestant Christian religious institutions act in the management of solid waste, identifying if these institutions do any kind of management of this generated waste, in order to monitor how it is done using quality management tools, methodology and analysis of the results achieved. The applied methodology will be descriptive, through observation, registration, analysis and correlation of the object or facts under study, however, without manipulating them. With the information collected from selected churches in all areas of the city, in equal quantity, through a practical form and checklist based on the National Solid Waste Policy, it will be possible to build a DMAIC framework and sequentially apply the GUT tool, to notes of the most urgent problems. The results of these notes will be put into the PDCA cycle for improvement planning and, finally, the 5W2H will be used to propose improvements, which will facilitate observation, data collection and analysis of the information obtained. The survey results showed a great possibility of these Christian communities to serve as environmental schools, and that if carried out, could bring a real mass awareness of society, thanks to its enormous scope.Item Os 3R's (Três Erres) no Primeiro Ano do Ensino Fundamental: Uma Abordagem Didático-Pedagógica para a Educação Ambiental(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2022-06-12) SILVA, Mey Ling Oliveira da; SILVA, Simone da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7260488247107062This work aims to observe the perception of first-year elementary school children about the environment and to sensitize them critically and reflectively on how to improve our environment through waste reduction and reuse. It is noteworthy that many people depend on this highway to move between Manaus and Porto Velho and, consequently, to connect to the rest of the country. This study presents an analysis of the economic and social benefits of the repaving of BR 319 and its respective environmental consequences. On a preliminary basis, it can be said that the reconstruction of the road will contribute to the increase in the generation of jobs and will facilitate the flow of production, favoring regional development. This study also suggests that the reconstruction of the road will result in a reduction in the cost per kilometer traveled, resulting in a decrease in road freight and a reduction in the value of bus tickets between Manaus and Porto Velho. The loss, degradation of natural habitats, fauna trampling, chemical pollution, anthropic invasion and the increase in violence were some of the negative impacts raised in this work.Item Os Protetores do Meio Ambiente: Estratégias Educativas Através de Tirinhas Ilustrativas(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2022) SILVA, Mey Ling Oliveira da; SILVA, Simone daThis work explores the use of comic strips as an educational tool to promote environmental awareness among children and young people. Through a series of strips titled "The Protectors of the Environment," themes such as sustainability, recycling, preservation of natural resources, and the importance of biodiversity are addressed. This chapter evaluated the corrosive and shrinkage physicochemical action of aqueous extracts of Euphorbia tirucalli on polypropylene (PP-5) subjected to temperature variations. Despite observations regarding potential practical applications, raw latexes from tested geographic regions did not chemically digest isopropylene. It is suggested that effective plastic digestion requires the presence of a specific endophytic fungus. Further tests will be conducted to investigate phytoremediation mechanisms.Item Relação entre meio ambiente e as pandemias(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2022-04-19) SILVA, Maria Eurilene da; SILVA, Simone da; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7260488247107062In late 2019, one of the biggest pandemics of our time, with the power to completely shut down cities, was revealed. This is Sars-cov-2, which spreads very quickly and is transmitted through the air. The Coronavirus is nothing new to the world and warnings about the risk of pandemics have existed for many years, such as that of the 2013 epidemic, made by the WHO (World Health Organization) at a time when there was already alarm about the potential of this virus to cause outbreaks. Pandemics are nothing new to humanity. They were present at different times in history, and this paper aims to present the link between pandemics and disturbances of the natural environment, with emphasis on zoonoses. Some pandemics and their consequences will be briefly exposed, pointing out parallels between them. The study was carried out through the analysis of scientific articles within the specified topic in journals with a high level of reliability, seeking to understand this phenomenon and how to face them. This paper was written while the world was going through the Sars-cov-19 pandemic and was evolving together with the discoveries made day by day by the scientific world. Goals were defined for this paper, such as studying zoonoses and their forms of transmission, analyzing the human factor and how it impacts the environment, and pointing out solutions to solve these problems. This literature review concludes that when humans invade the natural environment and destroy existing relationships in this place, diseases transmitted from animals or from the environment itself can arise, which may or may not cause new pandemics through zoonoses.Item Sistema fotovoltaico no aeroporto internacional de Manaus: Análise da viabilidade técnica, econômica e ambiental de implantação usando simulação computacional(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2020) FONTINELLE, Carlos Gomes; SILVA, Simone daThe study analyzes the feasibility of implementing a photovoltaic system at the Eduardo Gomes International Airport in Manaus.
