    The aim of this study is a comparative study of the implementation of a cell line with layout type “Y”; originally introduced “U”; in a series of line company that produces automotive sound, in the Industrial Pole of Manaus. By some indicators, we obtained a validation of the benefits generated by the manufacturing system cell, eliminating losses, improving productivity and motivating internal employees.

    The project applied the Lean Six Sigma methodology to reduce costs, inventory, and lead time in an electro-electronic industry in the Industrial Pole of Manaus, focusing on Work in Process (WIP) control.
