Item Desenvolvimento de um layout de etiquetas seriais para redução de falhas de leitura em códigos de barras(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2023-03-10) RODRIGUES, Elias; LEITE, Jandecy CabralThis work addresses the development of a serial label layout to reduce barcode reading failures in a company in the electronics sector. The barcode is an essential tool for the accuracy and efficiency of production processes. However, the company faces challenges related to reading these labels, leading to interruptions and loss of efficiency. The research proposes solutions to improve the label layout by applying quality tools such as the Ishikawa diagram and the 5 Whys, aiming to eliminate failures and optimize the production process.Item Desenvolvimento de um layout de etiquetas seriais para redução de falhas de leitura em códigos de barras(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2022-12-14) RODRIGUES, Elias; LEITE, Jandecy Cabral; http://lattes.cnpq.br/7279183940171317With the advent of new technologies and the growing market demand, companies have been seeking ways to improve the efficiency of their productivities processes by introducing innovations through the waste elimination, rework reduction and inconsistency of information due to manual data entry. The objective of this article is to demonstrate that it is possible to mitigate or eliminate stops in the TV production process, caused by difficulty to read barcodes printed on thermal transfer printers, with intelligent and innovative solutions with the support of quality tools. In the search for the resolution of these problems, this work was developed in three chapters. Chapter I begins with an introduction that presents the problem to be treated, the barcodes types adopted in the company, briFigura 2. 1efly mentions the quality tools that were used as support in the search for a solution to the problem, and also the general and specific objectives that were defined by the researchers. Chapter II briefly presents the methodology that was applied to develop this work, the concept of efficiency and effectiveness in the production system, and details the quality tools used (PDCA, Brainstorm, 5 Whys, Ishikawa Diagram, and 5W2H) to find a viable solution to the problem to be handled. It addresses the most commonly used types of barcodes, two-dimensional and linear among others, their structural compositions, the encoding and decoding processes, the verifying digit, and the methods that cover incorrect typing detection. Chapter III presents a solution proposal for the company, based on a vast and detailed analysis of the flowchart of each area involved in the process of printing and using barcode labels, the materials used in the printing process, which information systems are used as well as the layout and method used for printing. The result of this study tends to contribute to other enterprises that have similar barcode printing processes, since its application aims to reduce or eliminate line stops, acting directly on the label layout, demonstrating that disruptive thinking and intelligent change contributes positively to the company's bottom line by improving the flow of information and reducing waste.
