Resumo
O meio ambiente é essencial para a vida, pois dele se extraem os recursos necessários para os seres vivos. Para isso, é necessário um equilíbrio entre os seres e o meio ambiente por meio da consciência ambiental. O objetivo desta pesquisa é obter o perfil das escolas analisadas, observando como a Educação Ambiental (EA) é aplicada na rede pública do município, a fim de criar um manual de práticas aplicáveis à EA nas escolas. A pesquisa foi realizada em treze escolas públicas na cidade de Itacoatiara/AM. Foram feitas visitas para analisar como a temática é trabalhada e se há projetos ambientais em andamento. Após as visitas, aplicou-se um questionário online a professores e alunos para identificar as qualidades e deficiências das escolas. Como resultado, verificou-se que as escolas estaduais estão mais preparadas para trabalhar esses temas e possuem mais suporte pedagógico, enquanto as escolas municipais carecem de materiais e não possuem projetos ambientais aplicados. Conclui-se que há diversas deficiências a serem corrigidas, sejam estruturais, pedagógicas ou materiais, que poderiam melhorar o ensino da EA e torná-lo mais atrativo para os alunos.
Abstract
The natural environment is essential to life because it provides the necessary resources for living beings. For this, a balance between living beings and the environment is necessary through environmental awareness. The research aims to obtain the profile of the analyzed schools, observing how Environmental Education (EE) is applied in the public network of the municipality, in order to create a manual of applicable practices in schools. The research was carried out in thirteen public schools in the city of Itacoatiara/AM. Visits were conducted to analyze how the theme is worked on and whether there are environmental projects. After the visits, an online questionnaire was applied to teachers and students to identify the strengths and weaknesses of the schools. As a result, it was found that state schools are more prepared to work on these themes and have more pedagogical support, while municipal schools lack materials and do not have applied environmental projects. It is concluded that there are many deficiencies that need to be corrected, whether structural, pedagogical, or material, which could improve the teaching of EE and make practices more attractive to students.
