Abstract
Gasification is a thermal conversion process where solid biomass (sawdust pellets) turns into gas by partial oxidation at high temperatures. The model is based on the two-phase theory (bubble-emulsion), suitable for predicting experimental results in fluidized bed reactions. It includes mass and energy balances, and hydrodynamic studies. The simulation is implemented in Octave with a graphical user interface, enabling predictions of the distribution and concentrations of gas species during the process.
