Uso dos Conceitos do Lean para a Melhoria de Serviços Educacionais: O Caso das Escolas Públicas do Estado do Amazonas

Abstract

Given the challenges faced by educational institutions in meeting the growing demands for quality educational services, there is a need for innovative approaches to improve efficiency and effectiveness. The Lean concept, originating in the industrial sector and focused on waste elimination and process optimization, presents itself as a promising approach to improving educational services. This article aims to propose the application of Lean principles and tools in improving educational services, aiming to increase quality, reduce costs, and promote stakeholder satisfaction. The study analyzes Lean principles and their applicability in the educational context, with case studies in educational institutions to provide a practical analysis of the implementation of these concepts. The results indicate that these practices can reduce waste, increase operational efficiency, and improve school environment organization, contributing to a more effective and sustainable management of educational resources. The research also highlights the challenges and necessary adaptations for Lean application in educational contexts, emphasizing the importance of a flexible approach that considers the specificities of public schools in Amazonas.
