Estudo sobre Vazão Remanescente em Pequenas Bacias do Rio Amazonas

Abstract

This study proposes a hydrological method to determine remaining flows in small basins of the Amazon River, using the highest value among the minimum annual recorded flows (qmaxmin). Twenty-three fluviometric stations with drainage areas between 100 km² and 1,400 km² were analyzed. The results of the proposed method were compared with other models (Q90%, Q95%, Q7,10, ELETROBRÁS, Tennant/Montana), showing that qmaxmin provides a greater safety margin during dry periods, making it a viable alternative for sustainable water resource management in the region.
