Abstract

The need to speed up construction processes makes precast elements gain more supporters in the construction industry. This research aims to use rubber waste in addition to the volume of fine aggregate concrete that makes up the beams of prefabricated unidirectional lattice slabs. The results show that savings of up to 10.69% can be achieved, with 0.10 m³ of rubber waste replacing part of the concrete. It is concluded that the use of tire rubber waste in unidirectional precast slabs does not compromise their structural behavior against the verifications of Ultimate and Service Limit States.
