Educação Ambiental na Saúde e seus Resíduos Sólidos: Uma Prática Interdisciplinar

Abstract

Environmental education arises from the need to portray the environment, bringing a new way of reading reality and acting on it. This study conducts a bibliographic review on the importance of environmental education in health units, focusing on the management of health service waste (RSS). The research was conducted using databases such as SciELO and VHL, identifying the need to integrate environmental education in an interdisciplinary manner into the daily routine of health professionals. It is concluded that environmental education and the correct disposal of RSS are essential to minimize environmental impacts and promote sustainability in hospital units.
