ESTUDOS E PERCEPÇÕES POR MEIO DE PRÁTICAS ESPORTIVAS NOS PELOTÕES DE FRONTEIRA COMO FACILITADOR DA EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL

Abstract

This work aims to verify the importance of the insertion of social programs in the community, having as a cognitive vehicle the use of sports practices to understand the relationship between man and the environment. This experience should highlight the importance of environmental education to justify sports in natural areas and explore students’ knowledge about material and immaterial assets in the region and their influence on environmental public policies. The project, carried out in Manaus and border platoons in northern Brazil, involves indigenous children who interact with the environment through sports and recreational activities.
