O Potencial de Captação e Abastecimento de Água Pluvial na Comunidade Vila de Lindóia – Município de Itacoatiara

Abstract

This research deals with the survey of the potential for rainwater harvesting and supply for domestic use in the Vila de Lindóia Community, in the Municipality of Itacoatiara, Amazonas. The study aims to assess the feasibility of using rainwater for potable purposes, discarding the first flush, to reduce the number of people without access to quality water. Socioeconomic surveys were conducted in 15 households, analyzing water supply methods and the acceptance of the proposal. The results indicate that the use of rainwater, even partially, is viable and can contribute to reducing waterborne diseases and promoting environmental sustainability.
