A Educação Ambiental Como Processo de Transformação Social: Um Estudo Socioambiental na Comunidade 9 de Junho no Bairro do Japiim na Cidade de Manaus

Abstract

The research analyzed the importance of the relationship between humans and nature through an environmental education project in the 9 de Junho Community, in Manaus. The study investigates the residents' level of environmental awareness regarding environmental degradation, waste disposal, and pollution of the local stream. The study adopted a qualitative and quantitative approach, using descriptive and explanatory research. The results indicated the need for educational actions to raise awareness and transform the community, promoting sustainable practices and improving the residents' quality of life.
