Abstract
Due to the need to seek new and diverse energy alternatives, photovoltaic energy stands out for the amount of clean energy received on our planet through solar rays. This study focuses on the municipality of Itacoatiara-AM, where software for evaluating photovoltaic plant projections is compared. The software PVSyst, RETScreen, and System Advisor Model were chosen for this comparison. PVSyst covers system design and performance, RETScreen analyzes financial performance and project risks, and SAM facilitates performance and financial analysis. The results showed minimal variations between the software and a great potential for energy generation in the studied region
