Abstract

Cracks in concrete beams are among the major diseases that take a structure to ruin. This work seeks to develop an analytical tool easy to use and analyze the bearing capacity of cracked beams in order to estimate the ultimate moment in which they could collapse from the first crack. A tool like this is of singular importance because practically apply the knowledge gained in the laboratory expertise in deteriorated structures, contributing to a field of engineering large rise - Engineering Diagnostics.
