O Potencial de Captação e Abastecimento de Água Pluvial na Comunidade Vila de Lindóia – Município de Itacoatiara/AM

Abstract

"This article assesses the potential for rainwater harvesting for domestic use in the Vila de Lindóia community, Itacoatiara/AM. Fifteen residences were analyzed, considering roof areas, historical rainfall data, and residents' willingness to adopt the system. Results indicate that an area of 23.02 m² per person is sufficient to fully utilize rainwater, with the first flush discarded to ensure quality. The study concludes that implementing this system is feasible and can reduce reliance on traditional water sources, promoting water sustainability in the region."
