Resumo
This paper presents an algorithm for the creation of the wireframe model of a spherical geodesic dome, used as a fixed roof for fuel storage tanks. The geodesic dome is a structure composed of bars and nodes arranged along the edges and vertices of a polyhedron inscribed on a spherical surface. The proposed algorithm is based on the review and compilation of information from various researches, aiming to generate a geometric model for further resistance analysis by the finite element method. The work details the procedure and geometric expressions used, and presents a computer program developed to validate the algorithm.
