The article examines the reality of sewage sanitation in Manaus, emphasizing its importance for the municipality and the evolution of service quality in recent years. Using bibliographic and electronic data, the author notes that, despite advancements such as the increase in new sewage connections, the system still operates slowly. The study also addresses public health impacts, including diseases linked to inadequate sanitation.
