EDUCAÇÃO E MEIO AMBIENTE: Um Estudo Socioambiental na Comunidade Residencial Parque Cachoeirinha

Abstract

In contemporary society, the relationship between man and the environment is an increasing concern. This study investigated the degree of environmental awareness among the residents of the Residencial Parque Cachoeirinha Community, considering the alarming level of degradation of infrastructure and common areas. Using a qualitative and quantitative approach, the research assessed the community’s environmental knowledge to understand the relationship between residents and the environment. The results indicate the need for educational actions to strengthen awareness and promote sustainability in the area. The study also contributes to discussions on Non-Formal Environmental Education in PROSAMIM communities in Manaus.
