Abstract
The ecological trail is a fundamental tool to develop students' environmental perception and awareness through the observation of fauna and flora. This study proposes the trail practice as a pedagogical instrument, using the Sauim de Coleira trail within the Municipal Park of Mindú in Manaus-AM. The research involved 11 classes of 6th-grade students, applying questionnaires and essays to assess environmental awareness before and after the trail. Results indicated significant changes in students' understanding of the environment.
