    This article analyzes the importance of the functions of production planning and control (PPC) in the manufacturing sector. Based on a literature review of 14 national and international authors, the study identifies differences in the approaches to PPC functions, but emphasizes a general agreement on its relevance for coordinating planning and operational execution. It concludes that, regardless of the industry type, PPC plays a strategic role in identifying deviations, proposing corrections, and ensuring process efficiency.

    Logística Reversa de Pós-Consumo de Bateria de Celular

    This study examines reverse logistics as a tool for sustainable development, focusing on the proper disposal of mobile phone batteries, which contain heavy metals harmful to the environment. The research analyzed manufacturers, mobile operators, and consumers in the Manaus Industrial Pole (PIM), identifying challenges such as low consumer participation in the return process, despite the availability of return channels. The results emphasize the need for awareness campaigns and better-structured reverse channels to reduce improper disposal and promote recycling.

    The article presents an environmental certification model (Green Partner) for electronic processes and products, aiming to eliminate or control hazardous substances such as heavy metals (cadmium, lead, chromium, and mercury). Based on Sony's SS-00259 standard, the study demonstrates the model's application in a company from the Manaus Industrial Hub, highlighting the integration of management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001) and the competitive and sustainable benefits of certification.

    The article proposes a new production sequencing method using fuzzy logic, focusing on product contribution margin as the primary criterion. The model aims to assist managers in decision-making by prioritizing more profitable products when delivery deadlines allow. The methodology combines variables such as delivery time, cycle time, production process, and contribution margin, generating fuzzy rules to optimize production scheduling. The results demonstrated effectiveness in prioritizing high-value products, providing strategic support for manufacturing.

    IN A SEARCH FOR A COMPETITIVE ERA OF THE ELECTRONICS MANUFACTURING COMPANIES IN THE INDUSTRIAL POLE OF MANAUS (PIM) THAT OPERATE IN THE SAME BUSINESS IN WHICH USE SIMILAR TECHNOLOGY PLATFORMS, SEEK TO OPTIMIZE THEIR PROCESSES AND CREATE TOOLS TO REDUCE OPERATIONAL FAILURES. THIS ARTICLE DEMONSTRATES A NEW TOOL TO SUPPORT THE OPERATORS OF AUTOMATIC INSERTION MACHINES IN ORDER TO ELIMINATE THE OPERATIONAL ERRORS. THE METHOD CONSISTED, FIRSTLY, A SURVEY OF THE FAULTS GENERATED IN THE PROCESS OF MOUNTING PLATE THAT INFLUENCED THE PRODUCTION CAPACITY AND THE DISORDERS GENERATED BY OPERATIONAL FAILURES AND IN THE CASES STUDIED IN LITERATURE. THE RESULTS CONSISTED OF THE MANUFACTURING ENVIRONMENT WITHOUT SUPPLY FAIL OF COMPONENTS, REDUCING SETUP TIMES BETWEEN SHIFTS AND CONSEQUENTLY INCREASED PRODUCTION CAPACITY IN THE AREA OF AUTOMATIC INSERTION.

    The objective of this paper is to present a model using fuzzy logic, which seeks to assist the process of making decisions as to which product should have priority in scheduling the manufacturing process where there are two classes of products (WCDMA Modem and Mobile Phone). With this, it aims to identify particularities and characteristics of the productive processes, creating a better sequencing of production, whose master plan of production will be able to meet demand according to market fluctuations. The main purpose of the proposed system is to assist professionals in industrial planning to determine which products should be prioritized in the production line based on manufacturing characteristics, such as delivery time, cycle time, production process, and margin contribution, creating a production program best suited to the reality of the organization, in other words, optimizing existing resources and increasing profits.
