Análise Ergonômica do Trabalho (AET) no Posto de Embalagem com Foco na Indústria de Produtos à Base de Plásticos
(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2015) LIMA, Vilma Reges Tamioka; LEITE, Jandecy Cabral; SOUZA, José Antonio da Silva; MAGALHÃES, Edilson Marques
The study examines the application of Ergonomic Work Analysis (AET) in a pen packaging station within a plastic products industry, using tools such as the NIOSH equation and Moore & Garg criteria to assess risks of repetitive strain injuries (RSI/WMSDs). The PDCA method was employed to implement improvements, leading to reduced fatigue complaints and increased productivity. The research highlighted the effectiveness of ergonomics in process optimization and occupational health promotion.

APLICAÇÃO DE FERRAMENTAS DO LEAN MANUFACTURING EM UM PROCESSO DE SMT: ESTUDO DE CASO
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2015) UHLMANN, Iracyanne Retto; LEITE, Jandecy Cabral; SOUZA, José Antonio da Silva
Many organizations have looked for increasing their competitiveness by reducing costs. One of the most used strategies nowadays to reduce waste in production processes and consequently increase added value is the Lean Production System (LPS) application, also known as lean manufacturing. The objective of this study is to show the benefits of some lean tools applications in a Surface Mount Technology (SMT) process in an electro-electronic industry at Manaus Industrial Pole (PIM). The case study methodology was used, oriented by the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC) tool. After performing the lean events, the main result was achieved: an increase in the lean maturity index in the process, from 25.20% (stone phase) to 81.80% (gold phase).

Melhoria do Processo de Manufatura e do Controle de Gestão de uma Cozinha Industrial
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2017) PESSOA, Sérgio da Silva; SOUZA, José Antonio da Silva
The objective of this work was to identify the consequences and influences caused by the dissatisfaction of production operators consuming food manufactured by an outsourced company, through the mapping of indicators that directly and indirectly affect the functional performance of these workers. An explanatory research was conducted, using questionnaires and complementary interviews, to analyze factors influencing the quality of the food served. It was concluded that poor food quality can lead to dissatisfaction, negatively impacting labor performance.

Uso de Aditivos Poliméricos em Estações de Tratamento de Água (ETA) Substituindo os Compostos de Alumínio
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2015) BARBOSA, Cleyton Luiz Ramos; SOUZA, José Antonio da Silva
The research explored the replacement of aluminum sulfate with polymeric additives (tannin and sodium polyacrylate) in water treatment plants (WTTPs). The study compared the technical efficiency and economic feasibility of these coagulants through Jar Test experiments, analyzing parameters such as pH, color, and turbidity. Results indicated that tannin outperformed aluminum sulfate in impurity removal, meeting potability standards, despite higher initial costs. The reduced sludge generation with tannin suggests long-term environmental and economic benefits.

Uso do Controle Estatístico de Processo (CEP) na Gestão de Operações Produtivas em uma Indústria no Polo Industrial de Manaus
(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2015) OLIVEIRA, Sidney dos Santos; LEITE, Jandecy Cabral; SOUZA, José Antonio da Silva; OLIVEIRA, Rosimeire Freires Pereira; MAGALHÃES, Edilson Marques
Monitoring, fault detection, and defect visualization are strategic issues for product quality. The article demonstrates the use of Statistical Process Control (SPC) in managing productive operations, employing a methodology based on control chart analysis for production monitoring. The approach combines defect location graphs and visualizations, applied in a case study at a company in the Manaus Industrial Hub (PIM). Results show variability through statistical graphs, enabling corrections and improvements in production processes, enhancing company quality.

Utilização do Método 10 M’s como Auxílio na Elaboração das Análises dos Pontos Críticos nos Processos Industriais
(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2015) OLIVEIRA, Rosimeire Freires Pereira; LEITE, Jandecy Cabral; SOUZA, José Antonio da Silva; OLIVEIRA, Sidney dos Santos; Profa. Dra. Maria Adrina Paixão de Souza da Silva.
The article presents the application of the 10 M’s self-assessment method to identify critical points in industrial processes, aiming to enhance quality management. The study was conducted in a company from the Manaus Industrial Pole (PIM), using questionnaires, interviews, and direct observation. The results, represented by radar charts and quality tools such as the Ishikawa Diagram, demonstrated the method’s effectiveness in diagnosing critical areas, such as management and workforce training, enabling more precise corrective actions and cost reduction.
