Item Use of the DMAIC Tool: High Failure Rate in the Heat Sink Bolting Process(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2022) RAMOS, Juan Gabriel de Albuquerque LEITE, Jandecy Cabral; LEITE, Jandecy CabralThe DMAIC methodology has the potential to detect flaws in production processes and indicate improvements for better results. This study aims to demonstrate, through a case study, how the application of DMAIC in a manufacturing company can be an effective tool to leverage and improve production processes, reducing the failure rate in the heat sink bolting process. The research included a theoretical approach to quality management and continuous improvement, as well as the practical application of the methodology in an automotive parts company. The study concludes that DMAIC was effective in reducing losses and increasing profitability in the analyzed company.Item Logistics Management for Supplier Evaluation in an Industry Using Artificial Intelligence (Fuzzy Logic) for Decision Making(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2022) NEVES, Ananda Desirée Rondon Fonseca Jana das LEITE, Jandecy Cabral FONSECA JÚNIOR, Milton; LEITE, Jandecy CabralQuality management is essential for the production of goods and services in a highly competitive market. This study analyzes factors influencing the performance and evaluation of an international supplier in the watch industry for the years 2019 and 2020. The objective is to collect indicators of rejected parts in the receiving inspection and assembly process, as well as deadlines for replacing defective parts, using fuzzy logic to support decision-making regarding supplier approval or disqualification. The quantitative approach involved data collection through spreadsheets extracted from the SAP system. Finally, improvement actions were suggested for the company based on the fuzzy method, aiming to minimize losses and optimize the supplier evaluation process.Item Application of Quality Management Tools to Reduce Costs with Scrap in the Automated Teller Machine Industry(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2023) RODRIGUES, Suede MONTEIRO, Roberval; LEITE, Jandecy CabralGlobalization has increased competitiveness among markets, leading companies to optimize their production processes to reduce scrap and costs. This study presents the application of quality tools in the automated teller machine (ATM) industry to minimize financial losses associated with material rejection. The study employed tools such as Pareto diagram, trend analysis, scatter diagram, 5 Whys analysis, and 5W2H to identify the main causes of material rejection. The results showed that implementing these tools reduced rejection costs by 95% between 2018 and 2020, with sustained reductions in 2021, proving the effectiveness of the actions taken.Item Application of Quality Management Tools to Reduce Costs with Scrap in the Automated Teller Machine Industry(Instituto de Tecnologia e Educação Galileo da Amazônia, 2023) RODRIGUES, Suede MONTEIRO, Roberval; LEITE, Jandecy CabralGlobalization has increased competitiveness among markets, leading companies to optimize their production processes to reduce scrap and costs.
