The diversity of Amazon flora supports the development of new polymeric composites. This article evaluates the mechanical properties of polyester composites reinforced with short and continuous munguba fibers (Pseudobombax munguba). Tensile tests were conducted for fibers of different lengths (5, 10, and 15 mm) and continuous aligned fibers. Results indicated increased tensile strength with fiber length and superior mechanical performance with aligned continuous fibers.
