The study evaluates the use of coarse basaltic aggregate from Serra do Inajá, in the Santarém-PA region, for structural concrete in road construction. Axial compression, granulometry, and Los Angeles abrasion tests were conducted, showing that the material has an average strength of 136.2 MPa in intact rock and meets normative requirements for concrete above 20 MPa. The results indicate technical feasibility, with potential for cost reduction and local resource utilization.
