GESTÃO DE RESÍDUOS SÓLIDOS GERADOS DA CONSTRUÇÃO CIVIL
(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2014) MOREIRA, Luciano Alves; FREENZI, Norbert; MAGALHÃES, Edilson Marques
In Brazil, the construction industry is regarded as one of the most significant contributors to economic and social development, yet it also generates considerable environmental impacts. The sector faces the challenge of reconciling productivity with sustainability. Population growth and increased consumption have led to greater waste generation, with estimates indicating that each person produces about 1 kg of waste per day. This article discusses the environmental impacts and challenges of managing construction waste, suggesting sustainable practices as a way to reduce environmental harm.

REUTILIZAÇÃO DE RESÍDUOS SÓLIDOS DOS CANTEIROS DE OBRA DA CONSTRUÇÃO CIVIL
(INSTITUTO DE TECNOLOGIA, 2014) MOREIRA, Luciano Alves; FREENZI, Norbert
The disordered population growth and high demographic densities in urban centers, combined with economic development, contribute to the increase in solid waste generation in civil construction. Recycling and reusing these waste materials bring economic, social, and environmental benefits, emphasizing the need for sustainable management and efficient public policies.

Desafios e Oportunidades do Reuso dos Resíduos da Construção Civil
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014) MOREIRA, Luciano Alves; FENZL, Nobert
In Brazil, the construction industry is considered one of the most important activities for economic and social development, but it is also a major generator of environmental impacts, either through the consumption of natural resources, landscape modification, or waste generation. The work presented here aims to verify the feasibility of a solid waste management plan, where the literature review provides a base of information on environmental issues in the construction of buildings, focusing on relevant aspects such as environmental management, the life cycle of buildings, Construction and Demolition Waste (CDW) in the urban environment, and relevant legislation.
