The methodology is easily accessible and can be used by anyone familiar with mobile phones. Users store their information in the system, creating an access account. During password entry, the system tracks the time taken to press and release keys and compares these parameters with stored data. If the patterns match, the user is authenticated; otherwise, access is denied. The study analyzed parameters such as input capture time, individual user models, and ideal thresholds. This approach enhances security, ensuring that even if an impostor knows the password, only the legitimate user can gain access.Item OTIMIZAÇÃO DO TEMPO DE TESTE FUNCIONAL DE PLACA DE CIRCUITO IMPRESSO MONTADA PARA COMPUTADOR PESSOAL(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2012) OLIVEIRA, Edson Farias de; BLANCO, Cláudio José CavalcanteThe increasing competitiveness among companies in the same sector has made continuous process optimization essential to reduce costs. This study evaluates the time involved in the functional testing phase of motherboards produced in the Industrial Pole of Manaus and proposes improvements for optimization. A system for image capture was developed to analyze idle times, along with test devices and a proprietary Linux-based test system, replacing the previous system that depended on foreign suppliers. Percentage gains were demonstrated through four optimization proposals: unifying tests, performing simultaneous tests on two boards, replacing the test system, and automating the test device. The results obtained after implementing these improvements were positive, reinforcing the importance of applying scientific methodologies combined with innovation to optimize production processes.Item AVALIAÇÃO DA CAPACIDADE DE CARGA GEOTÉCNICA E RECALQUE DE ESTACAS HÉLICE CONTÍNUA MONITORADA EM UM EDIFÍCIO DE RIO BRANCO – AC(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013) DAMASCENO, Davi Luiz Gruhn; ANJOS, Gérson Jacques Miranda dosThis dissertation evaluates the geotechnical load capacity and settlement of Continuous Flight Auger (CFA) piles used in the construction of the Federal Police Superintendency (DPF/AC) in Rio Branco, Acre. The building comprises three blocks separated by expansion joints, featuring a basement, four floors, an engine room, and a heliport. The foundations include isolated footings and CFA piles, with the latter being the focus of this study. Using soil stratigraphy and NSPT data from SPT boreholes, a computational program was employed to assess the geotechnical load capacity of the piles using various methodologies, including Aoki & Velloso (1975), Monteiro (1997), Kárez & Rocha (2000), Antunes & Cabral (1996), Gotlieb et al. (2000), and Décourt & Quaresma (1978/1996). Settlements were estimated using the Pile Settlement Calculation (Module 15) software, which applies Aoki & Lopes’s (1975) method. Results showed a wide variation between the methods analyzed, leading to pile depths lower than those in the original design. The estimated settlements ranged from 1 to 8 mm, and the angular distortion between contiguous piles did not compromise the building’s functionality.Item TÉCNICAS DE REFORÇO ESTRUTURAL PARA EDIFICAÇÕES ANTIGAS. ESTUDO DE CASO NA CIDADE DE RIO BRANCO – ACRE(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013) AMORIM, Denis Cley de Souza; OLIVEIRA, Dênio Ramam Carvalho deThis study aims to demonstrate the design and calculation verification based on NBR 6118 (ABNT, 2007) for reinforced concrete columns, focusing on structural reinforcement techniques for old buildings. Methods such as concrete jacketing, steel profiles, steel plate bonding, and carbon fiber-reinforced polymers (CFRP) were identified and analyzed. The study seeks to meet international acceptability criteria related to the solder fill of terminal components using Pin Through-Hole (PTH) technology, as specified in the IPC-A-610D standard. For the development of this research, the PDCA (Plan, Do, Check, Action) method was adopted, commonly used as a tool for problem-solving and continuous improvement in various industrial sectors. The analysis using X-ray inspection and metallographic cross-section tests demonstrated that the HDMI connector soldering process using reflow soldering showed better quality than manual soldering, ensuring product reliability. Based on the results achieved, the company in this study replaced manual soldering with SMT technology, employing the Pin in Paste (PIP) and reflow soldering processes.Item Análise de Tensões Residuais e Flechas em Soldas Planas de AISI 1020 Através de Ensaios de Tração, Microdureza Vickers e Mediçõees por Passe(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014) SANTOS, Carlos Augusto Cayres; FUJIYAMA, Roberto TetsuoTemperature in the Heat Affected Zone (HAZ) changes according to its position, with time, and cooling conditions during solidification. This variation in temperature can produce phase changes along the crystalline structure and thermal dilatations that originate welding residual stresses. In this work, deflection per passes was analyzed with height measurements, residual stresses in Base Metal (BM) were analyzed with tension tests, in the Heat Affected Zone (HAZ) and Fusion Zone (FZ). The variation through-thickness inside the Heat Affected Zone (HAZ) region was evaluated using Vickers microhardness tests for four different welds: the first one without restraints, the second fully restrained, the third with parallel restrictions on the weld bead, and the fourth with perpendicular restrictions to the weld bead. The results for each weld allowed modeling the deflection through linear adjustments, determining the stress profile according to the type of restraints adopted, the region in which the welded joint shall fail, and identifying regions that present beneficial or harmful stresses according to the type of restrictions and loading. The study concluded that deflection can be mathematically modeled as a welding pass function, and residual stresses observed in the HAZ and Fusion Zone (FZ) increase through thickness.Item ANÁLISE DA USINABILIDADE DA LIGA AL-7%SI SOLIDIFICADA EM UM SISTEMA UNIDIRECIONAL HORIZONTAL(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014) GUIMARÃES, Charles Bispo; SILVA, Maria Adrina Paixão de Souza daMachining is one of the most widely used manufacturing processes, with metals and alloys forming a large percentage of machined materials. During machining, a significant amount of energy is converted into heat, making the cutting temperature a crucial factor. However, few studies assess the influence of the workpiece structure on the cutting temperature. In this context, the relationship between processing, structure, and material properties is critical, as the solidification structure directly affects machinability. This study investigates the influence of thermal parameters and secondary dendritic arm spacing (λ2) of an Al-7wt%Si alloy solidified in a horizontal directional solidification system on cutting temperatures obtained during turning. A significant increase in cutting temperature was observed in all tests, followed by a slight decrease at the end of the process. Furthermore, experimental power function laws relating cutting temperature with cooling rate, solidification rate, and secondary dendrite arm spacing were developed.Item ZONEAMENTO DE RUÍDO: PROPOSTA DE CURVAS DE RUÍDO APLICADAS AO AEROPORTO INTERNACIONAL DE MANAUS/EDUARDO GOMES(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014) NASCIMENTO, Clive Reis do; MENDES, Ronaldo Lopes Rodrigues; OLIVEIRA, Dênio Ramam Carvalho deNoise pollution is an environmental issue that can significantly impact the population’s quality of life. Aircraft noise, generated by engines and aerodynamics, can be mapped through noise curves and used for the development of a Noise Zoning Plan (NZP). With the publication of RBAC No. 161, the NZP of Manaus/Eduardo Gomes International Airport became obsolete. This study used operational airport data and the INM software to generate new noise curves at levels of 85, 80, 75, 70, and 65 dB(A). Compared to previous curves, the new ones cover a 43.58% larger area and a 193% larger population, including four additional schools. Municipal legislation does not cover all affected areas, suggesting the need for adjustments to comply with RBAC No. 161 requirements.Item ANÁLISE DO ACÚMULO DE MATERIAIS ORGÂNICOS NAS ESTRUTURAS NAVAIS DOS TERMINAIS HIDROVIÁRIOS: ESTUDO MULTICASO – ELEMENTOS DE GESTÃO AMBIENTAL(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014) HARTZ, Alessandra Guimarães; MENDES, Ronaldo L. R.This study aimed to diagnose the causes of the recurrent problem of organic material accumulation in naval structures of waterway terminals in Manacapuru/AM, Humaitá/AM, Parintins/AM, and Manicoré/AM, already installed. This issue arises because the projects for these structures do not consider the fluvial water system and regional geography. Many of these terminals are under construction, while others are already operating but face difficulties, especially during flood seasons, due to the accumulation of organic matter in their structures. The methodology included bibliographic and documentary research. Given this context, the study suggests that authorities seek efficient solutions with designers to mitigate environmental damage and raise awareness about this issue in future projects. An immediate, efficient, and low financial impact solution for the Union is needed.Item CONCRETOS FABRICADOS COM AGREGADOS GRAÚDOS DISPONÍVEIS EM SANTARÉM E REGIÃO OESTE DO PARÁ(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015) MAIA, Carlos Tadeu Arantes; SOUZA, Paulo Sérgio LimaThe study examines structural concrete production using different coarse aggregates available in Santarém, analyzing fresh and hardened state properties. Gravel, pebble, and quebradinho were tested with three water/cement ratios (0.74, 0.54, and 0.41). Results showed lower water consumption with pebble and higher final strengths with gravel. A cost analysis highlighted the economic advantage of quebradinho for 20 and 30 MPa concretes. Findings support the feasibility of using local aggregates in concrete production.Item ESTUDO DE CASO DO ABASTECIMENTO D’ÁGUA DO MUNICÍPIO DE SANTARÉM NO PARÁ(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015) ANDRADE, Elen Conceição Leal de; MENDES, Ronaldo Lopes RodriguesThis work addresses the water supply in the municipality of Santarém, Pará, and the various factors that directly affect the population's use of this resource. The main objective was to assess water usage in the supply sector, quantifying and qualifying its various forms to contribute to sustainability indicators. Currently, the municipality is supplied by the Pará Sanitation Company (COSANPA) and the Municipal Supply Secretariat (SEMAB). The research was conducted in three stages: literature review, field survey, and result analysis. Findings indicated that most of the population does not waste water, although the absence of water meters makes accurate consumption measurement difficult. Water quality was rated as average by 21.57% of respondents, while 33% reported frequent water shortages, leading part of the population to rely on private wells. The study concludes that understanding these findings can contribute to future projects aimed at improving water supply in the municipality.Item A Sílica Livre Cristalizada e as Condições de Trabalho em Santarém-PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015) CAVALCANTE, Clarissa Maciel; POMPEU NETO, Bernardo BorgesSilica (SiO₂) is one of the most abundant elements in the Earth's crust, and in its crystalline form, it is toxic to humans, potentially causing silicosis and even cancer with prolonged exposure. This study investigates working conditions in marble workshops in Santarém-PA and the risks of exposure to crystalline silica. The research involved visits to four companies in the sector, using the Ministry of Labor and Employment’s Reference Manual for Marble Workshops as an evaluation tool. The results indicate a lack of worker training and misinformation about occupational hazards. Collective protection measures, such as wet-cutting machines, are adopted but not strictly enforced. Personal protective equipment is provided but not consistently used. The study concludes that exposure to free crystalline silica in the region’s marble workshops is high and poses a significant health risk to workers. It emphasizes the need for surveillance actions and further investigations to improve working conditions and worker health protection.
