Viabilidade da Aplicação de Resíduos da Cerâmica Branca Oriundos da Cidade de Manaus para Produção de Argamassas
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2017) MELO, José Roberto de Souza; MAGALHÃES, Edilson
This study proposes the use of white ceramic waste (RCB), generated in the city of Manaus, as a pozzolanic material in mortar production. X-ray fluorescence and diffraction analyses identified the presence of silicon, aluminum, iron, and sodium oxides in proportions that comply with ABNT NBR 12653/1992 standards. Five mixtures with varying proportions of RCB, sand, and cement were tested and evaluated for porosity, water absorption, specific mass, and compressive strength. The results indicated that the produced mortars can be classified as Class PI and P2, according to ABNT NBR 13279, demonstrating the technical feasibility of replacing up to 50% of natural aggregate with RCB, reducing costs and environmental impact.

Processo de Gestão para Utilização da Água para Indústria da Construção Civil: Um Estudo de Caso
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2016) SOUZA, Monik Érica Silva de; LEITE, Jandecy Cabral
The study addresses the management process for water treatment and reuse in the civil construction industry, focusing on the decantation technique. The research, conducted at Supermix Concreto S/A, demonstrates that adopting this method can lead to savings of 70% to 80% in water consumption and reduce energy costs, in addition to bringing economic, social, and environmental benefits. Methods such as document analysis, interviews, and direct observation were used to collect and analyze data, highlighting the feasibility and importance of sustainable water resource management in the sector.

Uso de Resíduos de Couro Tipo Wet Blue como Carga na Produção de Argamassas para a Construção Civil
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2019) ANJOS, Claudia Suellen Osório dos; SOUZA, José Antônio da Silva
The possibility of use in the manufacture of mortars using leather sawdust and sulphite copper waste (RCMS) in cement paste generates an alternative of attenuation of environmental factors. In the production of these mortars was used wet blue leather, RCMS, Portland cement II and water. This research aimed to study the physical behavior of developed mortars and elucidated their performances. Traits made were 1:3:0; 1:3:2.5; 1:3:5; 1:3:7.5; 1:3:10 and 1:3:15, both with composition established in 100 g of cement and 300 g of RCMS, varying only the quantity of leather sawdust and water, being produced 18 specimens, 3 being reference cement, RCMS and water. After 28 days of life were submitted to: water absorption, apparent porosity, apparent specific mass and resistance to axial compression. The mortars were analyzed by dispersive energy X-ray spectroscopy (EDS).

Agregado miúdo proveniente do Jari/AP como material de construção civil na utilização de argamassas
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015) SOUZA, Márcio Rodrigo Nunes de; OLIVEIRA, Dênio Ramam Carvalho de
Natural fine aggregates are widely used in construction for the production of mortars and concretes. This study analyzed the behavior of fine aggregate from Laranjal do Jari-AP, comparing it with the traditional fine aggregate from the metropolitan region of Belém-PA. Physical, mechanical, and durability tests were conducted following ABNT standards. The results showed that the aggregate from Laranjal do Jari-AP exhibited higher compressive and tensile strength, in addition to meeting durability standards, demonstrating potential for use in mortars in civil construction.

Concretos Dosados com Agregados Miúdos da Cidade de Santarém/PA
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015) BRANCO, Yverton Homero Ramos; Prof. Dr. Bernardo Borges Pompeu Neto
Due to the variability found in the composition of the fine aggregate regarding color, grain size, presence of clay, and powdery materials, technical control is necessary to examine the fine aggregate. The general objective of this research is to characterize and quantify two sand samples in the laboratory, one white and the other pink, both from deposits located in the city of Santarém/PA. As a specific objective, compare the trace obtained in the laboratory (controlled trace) with the estimated trace (empirical) practiced in small works. The methodology is based on the literature review of scientific articles, books, and technical standards. The characterization of the samples was obtained through test procedures and standardized materials, determining the specific mass, unit mass, particle size analysis, powdery material content, and other characteristics. The ACI/ABCP method was used for dosing and determining the traces for the sand samples. Three traces were performed with a resistance to be achieved of 20 MPa, two controlled traces in the laboratory, and one estimated trace. After making and testing 24 specimens, the results showed that the controlled trace in the laboratory reaches the desired strength, while the estimated trace shows resistance below the expected. It is concluded that technical control of dosing in the sand to be used throughout the construction process of any civil work in Santarém/PA is important to ensure concrete within technical standards, resistant to constant humidity and extreme temperature variations during the six months of winter in the Amazon.

Elaboração de um Projeto Padrão de Escola para as Regiões Ribeirinhas
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014) HERMES, Fernando; OLIVEIRA, Dênio Ramam Carvalho de
The flood and ebb tide system in the Amazon causes numerous problems for riverside communities, disrupting the school year due to the flooding of permanently built schools in vulnerable areas. This work proposes two models of modern schools adapted to riverside conditions, which can float during floods and rest on a fixed concrete base during low water. These schools facilitate the relocation process in cases of erosion, preventing class interruptions and providing a suitable study environment for riverside students.

Utilização da Pedra de Barro como Agregado Graúdo para Concretos
(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015) MATEUS, Gustavo Menezes; OLIVEIRA, Dênio Ramam Carvalho de
The state of Acre has long faced a chronic shortage of rock aggregate for the construction industry due to its unavailability in the soil composition and the high cost of importing this product. On the other hand, there is an abundance of raw material for the ceramic industry, such as clay. This work presents an aggregate for concrete made from calcined clay, similar to the process used in the production of ceramic artifacts. The new product reduces construction costs in the region and enhances the quality of structures over the use of brick pieces. The results show that the strength of the aggregates is satisfactory, and the mechanical properties of the concrete dosed with usual amounts of cement confirm the technical feasibility of clay aggregates for structural concrete.
