Item Avaliação das propriedades mecânicas dos concretos fabricados com agregados graúdos disponíveis em Santarém e região Oeste do Pará(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2015) MAIA, Carlos Tadeu Arantes; SOUZA, Paulo Sérgio Lima; QUARESMA, João Nazareno NonatoThe study evaluated the mechanical properties of concretes produced with three types of coarse aggregates available in Santarém-PA (crushed stone, gravel, and "quebradinho"), using water/cement ratios of 0.74, 0.54, and 0.41. Properties were analyzed in both fresh (slump, cohesion, water demand) and hardened states (compressive strength, tensile strength, modulus of elasticity). Results showed lower water demand with gravel and higher strength with crushed stone. "Quebradinho" offered economic advantages for 20 and 30 MPa concretes. The choice of aggregate directly influences concrete quality and cost.Item Viabilidade da Aplicação de Resíduos da Cerâmica Branca Oriundos da Cidade de Manaus para Produção de Argamassas(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2017) MELO, José Roberto de Souza; MAGALHÃES, EdilsonThis study proposes the use of white ceramic waste (RCB), generated in the city of Manaus, as a pozzolanic material in mortar production. X-ray fluorescence and diffraction analyses identified the presence of silicon, aluminum, iron, and sodium oxides in proportions that comply with ABNT NBR 12653/1992 standards. Five mixtures with varying proportions of RCB, sand, and cement were tested and evaluated for porosity, water absorption, specific mass, and compressive strength. The results indicated that the produced mortars can be classified as Class PI and P2, according to ABNT NBR 13279, demonstrating the technical feasibility of replacing up to 50% of natural aggregate with RCB, reducing costs and environmental impact.Item Utilização do Bloco de Concreto em Construção de Empreendimentos: Um Estudo de Caso(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2017) BARROS, Íris Vargas; BRAGA, Eduardo de MagalhãesThe general objective of this dissertation was to analyze in two companies in the city of Manaus how the production process of concrete blocks is characterized, demonstrating their technical viability of production. About the methodology, it is a case study carried out in Companies A and B, located in the city of Manaus, whose main activity is the production of concrete blocks and visits to two works (Supermarket X and Condominium Y) that used concrete blocks in their constructions. The results reveal that the advantages of the blocks could be verified in the buildings, emphasizing that one of the main advantages is that they are leaked and allow the passage of pipes and pipes for electrical and hydraulic installations. Item Uso de Resíduos de Couro Tipo Wet Blue como Carga na Produção de Argamassas para a Construção Civil(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2019) ANJOS, Claudia Suellen Osório dos; SOUZA, José Antônio da SilvaThe possibility of use in the manufacture of mortars using leather sawdust and sulphite copper waste (RCMS) in cement paste generates an alternative of attenuation of environmental factors. In the production of these mortars was used wet blue leather, RCMS, Portland cement II and water. This research aimed to study the physical behavior of developed mortars and elucidated their performances. Traits made were 1:3:0; 1:3:2.5; 1:3:5; 1:3:7.5; 1:3:10 and 1:3:15, both with composition established in 100 g of cement and 300 g of RCMS, varying only the quantity of leather sawdust and water, being produced 18 specimens, 3 being reference cement, RCMS and water. After 28 days of life were submitted to: water absorption, apparent porosity, apparent specific mass and resistance to axial compression. The mortars were analyzed by dispersive energy X-ray spectroscopy (EDS).Item Análise Estrutural de Concretos Produzidos com Resíduos de Beneficiamento de Placas de Mármore e Granito(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2019) BANDEIRA, Sandy Rebelo; MAGALHÃES, Edílson MarquesThe present work shows the feasibility of the use of cutting residues of marble and granite slabs in concrete production. The research was carried out in a series of stages, which comprised the collection of waste in the beneficiary companies, through the process of crushing, sieving of waste and production and breaking of specimens. The chemical analysis performed by x-ray fluorescence shows that the material meets the requirements of NBR 12653: 2015 for the concentration of aluminum, silicon and iron oxides, qualifying it as pozzolanic material. The results of axial compression showed that the mixtures produced with the substitution of aggregates meet the minimum requirements of NBR 6118: 2014 for application in structural elements subjected to moderate environmental aggression, class II.Item Técnicas de Reforço Estrutural para Edificações Antigas: Estudo de Caso na Cidade de Rio Branco - Acre(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2013) AMORIM, Denis Cley de Souza; OLIVEIRA, Dênio Ramam Carvalho deThis study aimed to demonstrate the design and verification of calculating the NBR 6118 (ABNT, 2007) with their geometric characteristics, encasing armor, armor, and buckling resistance of the compression pillars centered pillars of reinforced concrete, with the major bibliographic techniques for structural reinforcement of concrete columns for old buildings, identifying the main methodologies and techniques used in Brazil and presenting the strengths and weaknesses of each technique: concrete jacketing, steel profiles, steel plate glued, blanket / carbon cloth, aramid and glass and polymers reinforced with carbon fiber (CFRP). The results obtained by comparative analysis of reinforcement performed in the case study "revitalization of the old house" indicated that the reinforcement technique was studied efficient because all reinforced parts had a greater bearing capacity than the original pillar without strengthening.Item A Sílica Livre Cristalizada e as Condições de Trabalho em Santarém-PA(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015) CAVALCANTE, Clarissa Maciel; POMPEU NETO, Bernardo BorgesSilica (SiO₂) is one of the most abundant elements in the Earth's crust, and in its crystalline form, it is toxic to humans, potentially causing silicosis and even cancer with prolonged exposure. This study investigates working conditions in marble workshops in Santarém-PA and the risks of exposure to crystalline silica. The research involved visits to four companies in the sector, using the Ministry of Labor and Employment’s Reference Manual for Marble Workshops as an evaluation tool. The results indicate a lack of worker training and misinformation about occupational hazards. Collective protection measures, such as wet-cutting machines, are adopted but not strictly enforced. Personal protective equipment is provided but not consistently used. The study concludes that exposure to free crystalline silica in the region’s marble workshops is high and poses a significant health risk to workers. It emphasizes the need for surveillance actions and further investigations to improve working conditions and worker health protection.Item CONCRETOS FABRICADOS COM AGREGADOS GRAÚDOS DISPONÍVEIS EM SANTARÉM E REGIÃO OESTE DO PARÁ(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2015) MAIA, Carlos Tadeu Arantes; SOUZA, Paulo Sérgio LimaThe study examines structural concrete production using different coarse aggregates available in Santarém, analyzing fresh and hardened state properties. Gravel, pebble, and quebradinho were tested with three water/cement ratios (0.74, 0.54, and 0.41). Results showed lower water consumption with pebble and higher final strengths with gravel. A cost analysis highlighted the economic advantage of quebradinho for 20 and 30 MPa concretes. Findings support the feasibility of using local aggregates in concrete production.Item ZONEAMENTO DE RUÍDO: PROPOSTA DE CURVAS DE RUÍDO APLICADAS AO AEROPORTO INTERNACIONAL DE MANAUS/EDUARDO GOMES(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2014) NASCIMENTO, Clive Reis do; MENDES, Ronaldo Lopes Rodrigues; OLIVEIRA, Dênio Ramam Carvalho deNoise pollution is an environmental issue that can significantly impact the population’s quality of life. Aircraft noise, generated by engines and aerodynamics, can be mapped through noise curves and used for the development of a Noise Zoning Plan (NZP). With the publication of RBAC No. 161, the NZP of Manaus/Eduardo Gomes International Airport became obsolete. This study used operational airport data and the INM software to generate new noise curves at levels of 85, 80, 75, 70, and 65 dB(A). Compared to previous curves, the new ones cover a 43.58% larger area and a 193% larger population, including four additional schools. Municipal legislation does not cover all affected areas, suggesting the need for adjustments to comply with RBAC No. 161 requirements.
