A Aplicação do Lean Six Sigma para Melhoria da Gestão de Processos de uma Empresa do Setor Eletroeletrônico: Estudo de Caso
(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2021) SILVA, Leildo Jander da Mota; MAGNO, Rui Nelson Otoni
The application of the Lean Six Sigma methodology has shown good results in companies through the continuous use of techniques and tools aimed at reducing waste and variability. This case study applies Lean Six Sigma tools to improve process management in a company in the electronics sector, achieving significant results, such as an increase in Lean maturity from 44.20% to 63% and a 29% reduction in manufacturing costs. The study also highlights the cultural shift within the company, focusing on continuous improvement and structured process management.

Currently, due to technological advances and the rapid dissemination of information, the globalized market has brought major impacts on the productive sector for manufacturing industries that have not adapted to changes, particularly in terms of investments in modern technologies for control and management of processes. This study's premise is to understand how the production process is currently taking place in a cardboard box stamping manufacturing company at the Manaus Industrial Pole (PIM), where there are no reliable production indicators as a result of being performed with manual pointing. The main objective of this study is to provide real-time performance indicators on a workstation by monitoring and controlling the production process through the Cronos WID computational tool. The applied research methodology was adopted, where the facts were observed and described without interference. At the end of the research, it was concluded that with the use of the Cronos WID tool, management became more efficient and enabled the initial Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) productivity index to increase from 34.71% (with manual pointing) to 79.48% (with automatic pointing).
