Item Avaliação dos impactos ambientais relacionados ao Igarapé do Quarenta como perspectivas de melhoria na qualidade de vida(Instituto de Tecnologia, 2012) CRESPO, Jane Freitas de Góes; FENZL, Norbert; QUARESMA, João Nazareno NonatoThe study assessed the environmental and social impacts of the PROSAMIM interventions on the Igarapé do Quarenta in Manaus, focusing on improving the quality of life for the local population. Using qualitative and quantitative methods, the research evaluated the program's efficiency in sanitation, housing resettlement, and environmental recovery. Results showed significant progress in reducing environmental degradation and providing basic infrastructure, though challenges such as biodiversity maintenance and socioeconomic adaptation of resettled families remain.Item ANÁLISE AMBIENTAL DA LOGÍSTICA FLUVIAL DE DERIVADOS DE PETRÓLEO NO TRECHO MANAUS - PORTO VELHO(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017) COSTA, Neymara Silva; Prof. Dr. Ricardo Amorim de DeusThe adoption of preventive measures in the management of river transport logistics prevents significant environmental impacts, considering that the transport of petroleum derivatives can harm the environment. The Madeira River, an essential waterway in the Amazon basin, plays a strategic role in the transport of petroleum derivatives by tank barge (BT). The study analyzes the environmental impacts of this activity on the Manaus-Porto Velho stretch, considering factors such as seasonal variations and the need for adequate infrastructure. In addition, it presents data from regulatory agencies and relevant legislation and proposes guidelines to improve river logistics, aiming at the sustainability and development of the waterway.Item ANÁLISE AMBIENTAL DA LOGÍSTICA FLUVIAL DE DERIVADOS DE PETRÓLEO NO TRECHO MANAUS - PORTO VELHO(Universidade Federal do Pará, 2017) COSTA, Neymara Silva; Prof. Dr. Ricardo Amorim de DeusThe adoption of preventive measures in the management of river transport logistics prevents significant environmental impacts, considering that the transport of petroleum derivatives can harm the environment. This study aimed to analyze the environmental parameters of the surface waters of the Tarumã-Açu Igarape stream in the city of Manaus, in view of the growing changes they have been undergoing due to the influence of man on these environments. The research was conducted at the Tarumã-Açu Igarape, located in the Tarumã neighborhood in the west of Manaus. The physicochemical variables were analyzed pH, water temperature, electrical conductivity, turbidity, ammonia nitrogen, dissolved oxygen and bacteriological analyzes (total and thermotolerant coliforms). The results indicated a high level of water pollution, especially in the urban area, with pH values below the recommended, high electrical conductivity, elevated turbidity, and significant presence of coliforms. It is concluded that the Tarumã-Açu Igarape is degraded and needs protection and recovery measures.
